This October, the Lifeline Humanitarian Organisation celebrated its 30th anniversary with a royal gathering at the Royal Palace and White Palace in Belgrade, hosted by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Katherine and Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia. This milestone event brought together Lifeline’s supporters from across the globe, including each of its five international offices in London, New York, Chicago, Toronto, and Athens. Among the guests were Lazar Vukovic, Chairman of Lifeline London, and two special honourees, Robert Valentine and Patricia Fisher, whose commitment since Lifeline London’s inception was celebrated with a 30th-anniversary award presented by HRH Crown Princess Katherine herself.
As Lifeline’s Patron, Crown Princess Katherine welcomed supporters and representatives from each office to the grand occasion, celebrating three decades of tireless humanitarian work. In a heartfelt moment, Her Royal Highness presented each Lifeline office with a 30th-anniversary award as a tribute to their dedication and remarkable service over the years. The award presentation was especially meaningful for the Lifeline London team, as two key members, Robert Valentine and Patricia Fisher, were recognised for their contributions since the charity’s earliest days. Their enduring commitment and hands-on involvement have helped shape Lifeline London into the impactful organisation it is today.
The weekend began with a warm and elegant welcome cocktail reception at the Royal Palace, allowing supporters and Lifeline leaders to reflect on the organisation’s legacy in a setting befitting such a distinguished milestone. Amidst the historic splendour, guests had the unique opportunity to hear directly from Crown Princess Katherine, who shared her vision for Lifeline’s future while extending personal thanks to long-standing supporters like Robert and Patricia, whose work has been foundational to the organisation’s success.
The following evening, the festivities moved to the White Palace for the 30th Anniversary Gala Ball. Against the stunning royal backdrop, guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening of fine dining, live music, and inspiring speeches celebrating three decades of Lifeline’s impactful work. Crown Princess Katherine and Crown Prince Alexander, gracious hosts throughout the weekend, greeted each guest, making everyone feel part of the Lifeline family.
Lazar Vukovic, Chairman of Lifeline London, joined this memorable event with pride, grateful to stand alongside colleagues and supporters from around the world. Under his leadership, Lifeline London has continued to expand its outreach, making a meaningful difference to the hospitals in Serbia. Reflecting on the evening, Lazar expressed deep appreciation for Lifeline’s dedicated team members like Robert Valentine and Patricia Fisher, whose unwavering support for the organisation embodies the Lifeline spirit.
The anniversary celebration was a powerful reminder of Lifeline’s ongoing mission to serve those in need and a testament to the vision and dedication of its patrons and supporters.
